Hunter Mountain Report

11-23-03

The mountain was closed this weekend, but there were tons of people hiking, skiing, riding and just hanging out. I hiked up the Belt Parkway on Sunday with Mickey. Took about an hour - with me stopping every once and a while to rest. Hien was on the Mountain too.. While we took the dry route, Hien skinned up th e snow on his cool ascent skis. It was a bluebird day - temps in the high 60's.

The snow is still deep at the top and we had a sweet, sunfilled, uninter rupted run to about 50 yards from the Quad(Where the snow changed to dirt)...

There were some big crevasses growing on the bottom of the middle station f ace(7th Ave). The snow was about 5 foot deep. Some nice kickers and a mini-par k on Kennedy Dr.
